Audio Installations

Operating in tandem with the Hire business, we design systems to client requirements, plan and install permanent audio systems for paging and background music through to fully featured sound systems for theatres or concerts. These systems are fully installed and commissioned. We pride ourselves on sympathetic installations that fit with our client's decorations as far as possible and where systems are installed in listed buildings we will work with local and other authorities to ensure that all recommendations are followed.

Other facilities include infrared hearing systems and induction loops to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act. We have an extensive knowledge of the highly specialised low spill and phased array induction loops and can offer advice on their suitability of use and a full installation service for your particular application. Architects interested in such systems should be aware that complex induction loop systems take considerable planning, and phased array/low spill induction loops (pictured below) are installed before the final floor covering is laid. Induction loops are a mystery to many people including architects, designers and electrical contractors who regularly seem not to understand the concept and bravely go ahead and specify perimeter loops in adjacent or vertically stacked  rooms. Later when the client tries to use these facilities there are major problems with overspill from room to room. Sadly, by this time the client has spent good money on systems that are not fit for purpose, and to rectify the problem is even more costly as it will require proper loop designs (see the photograph above) and the removal of furniture and the full floor covering back to the surface. The client will also need additional equipment to make it work. The only other solution would be to go down the infrared route which is quicker to install, but the equipment is considerably more expensive. There are also many building contractors who also don't seem to understand the process of loop installation so we can help them as well. So, if in doubt seek advice before specifying a basic induction loop.

Some companies have preferences for brands and manufacturers, but we do not have allegiances to specific equipment or supliers so we will source components from various manufacturers and suppliers to address the individual and specific needs of our clients. 

If it's just audio equipment you are looking to purchase without it being installed then we can obtain specific equipment as required from our many suppliers.
